WASA Exhibiton
My entries into the exhibition
Once again I've been honoured to provide unique glass art pieces for The West Australian Society of Arts 128th Annual Art Exhibition.
This year I chose to feature the West Australian native Banksia - Banksia Menziesii as a fitting representation of our artistic pursuits. This gorgeous plant is the subject of many paintings and drawings from it's stunning flowers to it's gnarly seed pods.
Congratulations to all the exhibitors on an excellent show and to all the winners.
The exhibition ran over 3 days with a fabulous VIP sponsors event on Thursday evening and the sparkling Award presentation and opening event on Friday 17th. The ever-bubbly Verity James was the master of ceremonies.
Fused Glass awards
The main award has three layers of glass and is set in
beautiful, WA Jarrah while the category awards are a
collage of Banksia images and WA colours and textures.
Each piece is individually made.
